Accessibility

Our accessibility statement. Last updated 25 September 2026.

Our commitment

GDED and Mind Interactive want everyone to be able to use this site, whatever device or assistive technology they use, including on a basic phone over mobile data at the venue. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we have done

  • Pages are built with semantic headings and landmarks, and every page starts with a "Skip to content" link.
  • Text and controls meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, or 3:1 for large text.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline. The phone menu is a standard disclosure control that needs no script.
  • Forms have visible labels, 16 px inputs, controls at least 44 px high, and error messages that name the field and are announced to screen readers.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • The site works without JavaScript: the RSVP form and registration submit as ordinary forms; the countdown and search enhance the page but are not needed to use it.
  • No content flashes or moves on its own, and nothing depends on colour alone.
  • Pages are light so they load on slow connections; the largest page, the zones and exhibitors list, works as a plain list if scripts do not load.

Known limitations

  • The festival programme PDF comes from GDED and has not been checked for accessibility; the same information is on the agenda page as text.
  • Exhibitor logos are as supplied; a few are low resolution.

Tell us

If something on this site is hard to use, write to [email protected] with the page and what happened, and we will respond within five working days. If you need help at the festival itself, the registration desk at Constitution Hill can assist, and the RSVP form has a field for accessibility needs.
